Great post. Europe's undersea cable disruptions highlight a critical shift in global power dynamics. With 95% of internet traffic relying on these cables, recent damage to 11 cables in 15 months isn't random—it’s a strategic vulnerability. The intersection is clear: infrastructure and AI dominance are now geopolitical battlegrounds. Europe must move beyond speeches to concrete deterrence strategies—before the next cable snaps.
And everyone forgets the electricity those wires transmit too. Considering the desperate need for power, if we are to "invest" the paltry 500 billion in AI in Europe. Thank you for reading and I completely agree!
Didn’t the US, per Seymour Hersh’s investigative journalism report , destroy the Nord Stream pipeline a couple of years ago that successfully blocked the transmission of natural gas to Germany from Russia.? Hasn’t the US sanctioned Russia’s ability to export oil and other commodities ? Didn’t the US confiscate and still holds $300B of reserves owned by Russia?
The US has intentionally tried to fiscally and financially cripple the Russian economy.
Haven’t Sweden and Finland joined NATO?
Did the anchor dragging occur before or after the US sanctioned, confiscated, and blew up a pipeline?
What other CIA and NATO actions have occurred in E. Europe, the Nordic countries and Baltic States aimed at Russia?
I would argue Russia is retaliating for US and NATO aggression.
Perhaps a four way conference between Russia, NATO, the US and China ought to be sought to end the aforementioned hostilities instead of the status quo or worst lead to regional war that escalates.

Bad news on the door steps I couldn’t take one more step. Perception derived from the machine. Embrace the chaos
